I’m Courtney Townley, your personal guide to happy, healthy and fit. I’ve been where you are and can relate to what you are feeling. Have no fear. I am here to help you every step of the way.
Me? I’ve got a unique background as a dancer, trainer, and health coach. This means that I love to have fun, move, and feel amazing!
Despite my fitness background, I haven’t always felt amazing. I learned first-hand that exercise is not the only aspect of living a full, energized, amazing life. So, while I continue to teach fitness, as a health coach I also help my clients take a holistic approach to their self-care. This includes addressing food choices, mindset, and other lifestyle habits.
I’m sure you can agree that all of the graceful & beautiful things in your life—your children, marriage, career, home, education—have taken bucket loads of grit. The name “Grace & Grit” comes from my philosophy that in order to dance gracefully through life, you must get a little dirty. (I have a knack for making the gritty part fun).
I have a serious arsenal of training and experience. One of the most life-changing has been becoming a health coach. Now I integrate my love of movement with the world of nutritious food and stress management to help clients reach their health goals ASAP.
I have danced, moved, grooved, and taught fitness all over the continent. I’ve helped hundreds of women build a better life on a sturdy platform of excellent health.
My family inspires me every day to dig deeper into my own grace & grit. I know that I have to work my butt off so that I can be an example to them of what’s possible when you take full responsibility for your health and life.
If you can’t tell, I LOVE to move my body and rock my life! It’s my mission to help you do the same.

Courtney Townley began working in the fitness industry nearly two decades ago when she transitioned from the professional dance world. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a BFA in dance and is fully certified as a STOTT PILATES® instructor, NSCA personal trainer, ACE Health Coach, Genesis Transformation Health Coach and Precision Nutrition Level 1 (soon to be level 2) Health Coach. She is also a very proud student of the Ido Portal Method.
Courtney has owned 2 fitness facilities and was so blown away by the results that clients got from her health coaching services, she decided to commit fully to developing that aspect of her business. She’s driven to learn everything she can about her field to help her clients get the results they desire and to be sure they have fun along the way.
Courtney is passionate about a multi-dimensional approach to health and fitness, and integrates the practices of clean eating, functional movement and stress management. She loves to move and share her love of movement with others while also introducing them to optimal health through healthy living practices. To her, it’s the greatest gig in the world to work so closely with women who want to be happier, healthier and more fit and change their lives for the better.
