About the Book

What if the secret to better health wasn’t a new diet or exercise program, but a complete reset of how you live, think, and care for yourself?

  • You want to make peace with your body, not battle it.

  • You're tired of plans that weren't made for midlife.

  • You need sustainable strategies, not quick fixes.

  • You deserve health that nourishes you from cell to soul.

In The Consistency Code, wellness expert Courtney Townley offers a transformative approach to health designed specifically for women navigating the complex terrain of midlife.

Drawing on her decades of experience as a nutrition coach, personal trainer, and life coach, Townley guides you to reimagine health not as a physical pursuit, but as a holistic alignment with your deepest needs. With insight and compassion, she reframes health as a deeply personal journey grounded in self-trust and consistent self-honoring—not rule-following or perfection.

Through a four-part, flexible framework of simple, adaptable practices, The Consistency Code delivers a method that helps you shift from burnout and body obsession to mindful alignment and ease.

A MESSAGE FOR YOU

Hey there! I'm Courtney Townley, and I created The Consistency Code because I've watched too many women struggle through the perfect storm of midlife: shifting hormones, rising stress, and predatory marketing all hitting at once.

Let's be honest - navigating perimenopause and menopause can feel like your body staged a rebellion overnight. Hot flashes, sleep disruption, mood swings that make you question your sanity... and just when you're most vulnerable, here come the "solutions" from every direction.

"Try this hormone-balancing supplement!" "This 7-day detox will reset your metabolism!" "Menopause weight gain is inevitable - unless you buy my special program!"

The wellness industry has discovered that menopausal women are profitable targets, and they're weaponizing your very real concerns against you. They know you're exhausted, they know you're frustrated with your changing body, and they're counting on that desperation to sell you quick fixes.

The Consistency Code takes a completely different approach. Instead of exploiting your fears, it helps you build a foundation of self-trust during this transition. Rather than adding more to your plate when you're already overwhelmed, it simplifies health into manageable practices that work WITH your changing physiology, not against it.

If you're tired of feeling like your body has become a problem to solve or being treated like a walking collection of "menopause symptoms," this book is your permission slip to reclaim your health journey with dignity, wisdom, and genuine self-care.

Amanda Thebe

"The Consistency Code is like having a sage, no-nonsense bestie in your corner. Courtney Townley cuts through the midlife noise with practical, empathetic strategies that actually work. She is the consistency queen we never knew we needed."

Amanda Thebe, author of Menopocalypse

"You did such an awesome job with this book! I came to my work to sit outside to finish it up and one of the girls that works there was asking me what I was doing. I told her I was reading your book... she asked me what it was about, etc. and then said, "I should read that but I'm not in midlife." (she's 29) I said, "umm you should read this BEFORE you hit midlife because those years (and now) will be a hell of a lot easier if you do."

If you do some kind of local book club, it has to include younger women. I'm going to have my girls read this." —Colleen Smith, Early Reader

"I finished it! And Courtney, it's SO good! I could've spent 2 months reading it because I wanted to deep dive into the work with every page. I'm inspired, and also excited to own it and really work through it. I love that it is not the list of what to eat and how to move that we've all read and heard and gotten confused about a million times. It's better It's about all the reasons we don't do what we know we 'should' and about building a better relationship with ourselves, and creating actual, real change. It's really exciting, there is so much here and it's going to help so many people. And, I loved the porcupine bangs story!" —Kathy Sherba, Early Reader

"The Consistency Code is a refreshing, heartfelt guide that redefines health as a full integration of body, mind, and spirit. Courtney invites readers to move beyond quick fixes and many of the outdated ideals, offering instead a practical, compassionate framework rooted in self leadership.

Her practices are adaptable and encourage grace alongside grit. This is a thoughtful companion for any woman ready to reclaim her vitality and live authentically with aligned purpose." —Andrea Sherwood Fairborn, MLD/Reflexologist & Nutritionist

"If there’s one thing women in mid-life don’t need, it’s another long to-do list of health hacks. What we do need is a way to make headway into this new season of life by taking action on what does matter - way beyond squats and protein shakes - without losing ourselves in the process. That’s what The Consistency Code delivers.

Courtney shares the blueprint for a path back home to yourself in a deep and personally meaningful way." —Steph Gaudreau, Women’s Strength Coach

Julie Angel

“It takes both courage and compassion to stop waging a war of weight loss and willpower on your body and instead choose a pathway of integrity and self-leadership. Courtney’s work is a breath of fresh air — her honesty about her own journey and her commitment to a health-first, whole-human approach make this book both relatable and profoundly inspiring. It truly nourishes from cell to soul, reminding us that health is not about chasing perfection but about expansion, stress management, and making peace with ourselves so we can step fully into who we are meant to be. A must-read for any woman ready to embrace midlife as her most powerful chapter yet.”
