My truth in any given moment is self-doubt AND self-confidence.

blog

My truth in any given moment is self-doubt AND self-confidence.

Which one governs me is entirely dependent on which way I turn my head.

If I turn towards self-doubt, I am reminded that…

I might screw this up.
People may judge me.
I could fail.

If I turn towards self-confidence, I am reminded that…

I have done hard things before.
No one else can do this in quite the way I can.
I get to decide what I make failure mean.

Both of these perspectives exist within me all of the time, even though from the outside everything looks the same.

I don’t judge myself for having self-doubt, I consider it a part of the human experience, but focusing on it has rarely served me

So, I choose to turn my head to look at what IS useful.

Why I can.
Why I should.
Why I must.

Heading into a new week, it is my high hope that you do the same:)

My truth in any given moment is self-doubt AND self-confidence.
