Stepping Into Your Power Years

285: Stepping Into Your Power Years

I have coached hundreds of women as they transition into menopause.

I have interviewed and been mentored by dozens of professionals who specialize in women’s health at midlife.

Heck, I AM a woman in midlife.

All this to say…

I have learned a few things about the menopausal years, most notably perhaps, is that it is both an ending AND a BEGINNING!

And this podcast is dedicated to helping you make the most of that beginning:)

The life changing skill of becoming your own coach.

284: The life changing skill of becoming your own coach.

It took me a very large chunk of my career to realize that if I truly wanted to empower my clients to live their life in a way that nourishes their health, I needed to teach them how to lead NOT to follow.

I think it took me a while to figure this out because I had never been a part of a community that taught health through the lens of self-leadership.

So, I created one.

In this episode of the Grace & Grit podcast, TWO members from the Rumble & Rise community share their experiences and how the skills they have learned helped them to mend the relationship they have with themselves and fortified their confidence to direct their own lives.

The Path to Health Reimagined

283: The Path to Health Reimagined

There is the old (and outdated) path to health.
And there is what I call a better path to health.

In this episode of the Grace & Grit podcast I invite you to consider both to ensure the path you are taking is the one that will help you create the level of well-being you truly crave.

Mental Health IS Health

282: Mental Health IS Health

Since it is Mental Health Awareness Month, I thought it would be a GREAT time to remind Grace & Grit Podcast listeners that there is NO health without mental health.

The state of your mental health permeates every decision you make, every relationship you have, every cell of your humanity, and pretty much every moment of your life.

So why is mental health NOT the very first thing we give attention to when our life is feeling off-kilter?

I think it should be:)

In this week’s podcast episode I elaborate on why we need to amplify the importance of mental health in EVERY health conversation and every strategy we use to improve our lives.

Check it out. And if it helps, please consider sharing it.

The Dieting Game Is Rigged

281: The Dieting Game Is Rigged

Regardless if it is intentional or not, most diets are set up for you to fail in 3 ways:

They market to your insecurities.

They do not take into consideration your unique individuality or the wholeness of your life.

They don’t teach the real skillsets of sustainable behavior change.

In this episode of the Grace & Grit podcast, I do a deep dive into how the dieting game is rigged and, more importantly, give you REAL solutions to the challenges that compel you to sign up for them again and again.

When the data says your "well" but you feel far from it.

275: When the data says you’re “well” but you feel far from it.

I can’t tell you the number of women I have worked with over the years who hired me because they don’t feel well even though their blood profiles and hormone panels say that everything is just fine.

Is it all in their head?

No. There is simply more to the story that they have yet to uncover.

In this episode of the Grace & Grit podcast, I help listeners explore what else might be at play and it’s probably not what you think.

6 Thoughts Preventing You From Making Progress

234: 6 Thoughts Preventing You From Making Progress

Health does not grow in negligent, hostile or toxic places, which the mind can certainly become without proper attention and direction.

If you aren’t exerting consistent daily effort to keep your mindset in a place that promotes grace, resilience, and perseverance any goals you achieve will be very short-lived.

Managing the mind is single-handedly the most powerful thing a woman could do to improve her health AND it is the most lacking element in most health and wellness programs.

In this episode of the Grace & Grit podcast, I share with you six of the most common thoughts that prevent women from reaching the level of health she truly craves.

How to End the Compare & Despair Game

233: How to End the Compare & Despair Game

Comparison has a dark side, no question.

It has the capacity to rob you of your happiness, squash your self-confidence and prevent you from taking meaningful action in areas that matter to you.

Comparison also has a bright side. Yes, really.

Check out this episode to learn more about how to use comparison to fuel you rather than deplete you.

The Path to Confidence

232: The Path to Confidence

My clients and students all say they have different reasons for working with me: they want to get stronger, they want to shed fat, they want to be able to keep up with their kids or grandkids etc.

But really…

They all want the same thing, more confidence.

Confidence that they will keep the promises they make to themselves.
Confidence to move through the world in a way that feels honest and true to them.
Confidence to take on the things that have been on their heart for years
Confidence to trust their own knowing and make decisions for themselves.

Confidence is the REAL byproduct of the skills and strategies I teach women and, in this episode of the Grace & Grit podcast, I am going to teach you the pathway for developing more of it too.

Have a listen! And please share it with a woman who could benefit from the message.
